Things Just Got Weird

I upgraded this site yesterday to the “new” version of the core software my provider, Squarespace, has made available. In a flash, everything went blooey on the site. So I will be spending the next couple of days to a week fixing all the little bells and whistles that make the site tick. Until then, some of the functionality may be a little weird.

I put the word new above in quotes because, as far as I can tell, Squarespace first launched their sprightly 7.1 version back in 2019 to beta users, 2020 formally to all users.

Guess it took me a while to get the memo.

Judging from what I’ve seen so far, I should have upgraded a long time ago. So, so much better.

One thing I’m doing is going big on my favorite color—orange. Most of the buttons on the site have already switched over. I’ll get to the others in time.

Why orange? Because it just seems like a happy, sunshine-y color, is why!
