Getting My Books for the 2025 Holidays

Click to learn more about the book.

This year, the first Christmas commercial I saw on TV appeared the evening of August 31. If I had been drinking beer, I would have sprayed it at the screen. But I wasn’t. I hate starting the season early as much as the next guy, but I know from experience that when it comes to shipping items, it’s smart to plan ahead. So…if you’re thinking of getting any of my books for the holidays, it could not be easier. I’ve got you covered, even for autographed books!

First things first: The complete list of my books is here, on a single page. You can use that page as a starting point for anything available online—digital and print.

Now let’s talk about logistics, one step at a time…

Regarding e-books: Most of my books are readily available at the usual online stores (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Kobo, etc.) in e-book format. Just go to the above link, click the cover of the book you want, and choose your preferred store. The only exception is my children’s book on Fibonacci. That book is available in print only. You can also page through the books on my website, which—let’s face it—is a lotta fun. 2025 marks the first year I have made all my past short stories available in ebook form. You’ll find links to them all right here.

Regarding print books: Physical copies of most of my books are available via Amazon, B&N, and my local bookstore. If a store doesn’t have the book you want in stock, they should be able to order them. Those orders usually arrive quite quickly, but it doesn’t hurt to plan ahead. If a store can’t order one of my titles, you can probably find it via Amazon. Hate the ‘Zon? Keep reading.

Regarding autographed books: If you want books autographed by me, the best way to do that is to contact the indie bookstore in my town, Malaprop’s, and order personalized, autographed copies of whatever tickles your fancy. Signed books make great one-of-a-kind gifts. They keep a ton of my new fiction in stock and can get extra copies in a hurry.

Here’s the skinny on signed books:

Call Malaprop’s directly at 1-800-441-9829 or 828-254-6734. Just tell them…

  1. Which book you want to order.

  2. Most books can be personalized, unless you are buying them Christmas Eve, at which time I’ll be facedown in a puddle of eggnog and unlikely to saddle up and drive to the bookstore to autograph your book. So, call early, and let them know how you want the book personalized. To you? Your mother-in-law? Your frenemy? Do you want it to say “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Holidays,” “Happy Thanksgiving,” “For a mystery buff,” or nothing at all?

  3. Give them your payment information and shipping address.

  4. Make sure you get your order in by Monday, December 8th, for delivery in the U.S. by Christmas.

That’s it! If you follow those few simple instructions, Malaprop’s will phone me, invite me in to sign, and ship your book out to you or to the person of your choice.

But wait—there’s more!

A complete list of books by my wife, the New York Times Bestselling author Denise Kiernan, is here. Her new trio of Thanksgiving books are right at the top of the page.

But what about gift wrapping?

Yes indeed, Malaprop’s does gift wrap—for FREE. So, you can have that autographed book gift-wrapped AND have a gift card attached to it.

Can I order online?

Technically, yes, but calling is much more efficient, less ambiguous, and, in the long run, will take less of your time.

Which books of yours can I order?

All of them, really. As noted earlier, my complete list is here, on a single page. (The Fibonacci book is here.)

Denise’s list is here.

Allow me to single out for your reading pleasure my three newest novels! They are:

Ebook version of Jack Frost novel by Joseph D'Agnese arranged in a lovely wintry blue collection of Christmas artifacts.
